Flaky, golden pastries twisted with rich margarine layers and topped with savory grated cheese. Crispy, cheesy and perfect for snacking or sharing.

  • 1000 g bread flour
  • 40 g yeast
  • 440 ml water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 400 g Planta Professional Baking Margarine
  • 150 g cheese of choice, grated
  1. To start, mix all the ingredients for the dough until smooth.
  2. Fold in the pastry margarine. Make two half Dutch folds (into fours).
  3. Allow the dough to rest for 10 minutes between folds to cool.
  4. Roll out the dough to a thickness of 8mm.
  5. Decorate the dough with the grated cheese.
  6. Cut into strips of approximately 1cm wide and 3cm long. Each strip should weigh about 55 g.
  7. Twist the strips and place in baguette trays to keep them straight.
  8. Allow the strips to rise again, for 40 minutes.
  9. Bake in oven at 230 °C for 12 minutes.
