Together with Klimato, we want to educate and inspire the food and restaurant industry to make more sustainable choices and climate-friendly menus.
Klimato’s carbon footprint label is presented next to a dish and indicates the amount of greenhouse gas emissions for each meal, measured in kg CO2e (carbon dioxide equivalents). Food actually causes up to a third of all the world's emissions, and by changing our habits to eating food with a low climate impact, we can make a big difference to our planet!
Food rating (A-E) reflects the climate impact based on the carbon footprint of a standard 400g meal. CO2e data is provided by our sustainability partner Klimato. Good to know is that an average lunch or dinner today has a climate footprint of 1.6 kg CO2e per dish.
